• Since the volume of wastewater is anticipated to be very low from the project and the fact that the
water table is comparatively deep, Mounding Analyses of the water table underlying the proposed
disposal area was not calculated for this project.
• The Nitrate Loading Calculations and wastewater disposal system operational parameters were
formulated from the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department Sewage Standards.
In summary, the soils testing and investigation has found the indigenous soils under the proposed
wastewater disposal area, which is near the SWC of the subject property,to contain a
predominately fine-grained sandy silt material with some clay. This soil has excellent percolation
characteristics and some nitrate mitigation capabilities where the soil-effluent interface should
occur at 36-40 inches in depth.
II. SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY FINDINGS
A. SUBJECT PROPERTY AND SURROUNDING STUDY AREA INFORMATION
SrSS 1.1 As noted on the San Joaquin County Parcel Viewer Maps, the current surrounding land
-`mu posed primarily of agricultural production land to the north(where adairy/heifer ranch
exists), south, east and west. Surrounding land has been in agricultural production for many -
decades. New development within the City of Tracy has occurred further to the north. Further to
the west are Interstate 580 and commercial facilities. The property is zoned AU-20.
SSe
2,33,3.4,3.5,3.6(Applications on microfiche file with the EHD reveal that there have
r n issued for repairs/additions to existing systems within a one-half mile surrounding
theite. The following Table illustrates these four permits: -
TABLE 1
E
umber Address Permit Date Repair
00 11423 Valpico 8174 Add 20 x 30 filter bed
39 11803 Valpico 9178 Add 300 sq.ft filter bed
48 11860 Valpico 7/85 Repair leachfield
32 11818 Valpico 3171 1 - Add 300 lineal ft of leachfield
The project site has relatively level terrain; consequently, there will be no need to incorporate design
considerations for slopes within the wastewater disposal area. Nor is there a dramatic elevational
difference between the proposed Office/Maintenance Buildings and the disposal field areas.
B. SOIL PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS AND ANALYTICAL TEST RESULTS
The United States Department of Agriculture - Soil Conservation Service (USDA-SCS) indicates the
majority of the on-site soils to consist of a Zacharias clay loam (#281),with the extreme north end
of the property composed of Capay clay (#118).
2
Chesney Cons Wag
