I. INTRODUCTION This report issues my findings regarding the Nitrate Loading Study and Soil Suitability Study completed for the subject property and proposed project under examination, located at 12815 West Valpico Road in Tracy, California. The purpose of these Studies is to provide the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD)with the required information pertaining to the soil and groundwater in relation to nitrate loading potential from the future on-site wastewater disposal system. These studies comply with San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9- 1105.2(d). Mr. Michael Souza of Souza Realty and Development provided the preliminary information to complete these Studies. Within the text of this Report, Bolded Section (§)numbers are referenced at the beginning of an applicable Paragraph(s), or Appendices that correspond with the EHD Requirements Checklist. Section Numbers referenced as SSS§, are sections applicable for the Soil Suitability Study Requirements Checklist. Section Numbers referenced as NLS§, are sections applicable for the Nitrate Loading Study Requirements Checklist. Other portions of text may also apply to other sections of the Checklists. LS§2 SS§3.1. The subject property is located near the southwest corner of the Tracy sphere o u ce. City o Tracy sewer facilities has not yet expanded to this area, although they eventually wi . This time frame is presently unknown. Domestic water for the entire subject property,which consisf 20 acres, will be provided by on-site�esticweis yet to be drilled. Domestic wastewater disposal will be managed by an on- , ence the necessity of these Studies. SSS§ 1.2.�Ae proposed development is to consist of the Tracy Public Cemetery. The U t#ionand related information are found in Appendix A. Currently,the property is;;O�W:7 and there are no improvements. It is proposed to construct a Maintenance Building with its own restroom and an office building with its own restroom. The following is a summarization of the information collected to complete these Studies and fulfill the requirements of EHD. Wastewater system operational parameters are also discussed within this report to supply additional information to EHD: • The primary disposal area and the required 100%reserve/replacement/addition areas have been described and are illustrated on the project Master Plan produced by RJM Design Group of Sacramento. • The on-site soils were analyzed for the ability to accept future wastewater effluent flows,and to assess their characteristics in the proposed leachfield area to mitigate nitrate impact. This was accomplished by soil physical and chemical testing. Physical testing included percolation testing. Chemical testing included analyses for the constituents that influence nitrate loading. • Depth to the water table was estimated based upon Studies conducted one-half mile to the east for the St.Bernard's Catholic Church. Static groundwater was measured to be 57.5 ft below grade in that location. 1 Chesney Consntttreg
