PC: 2-7-91
MS-91-20
APPEAL STATEMENT:
In his appeal, Mr. Pringle made the following statement:
"O. I .D. has no jurisdiction over the bridge. "
RESPONSE TO APPEAL STATEMENT:
The Oakdale Irrigation District is concerned that an inadequate
bridge might fail with increased use and that its failure would
interfere with the flow of water in Lone Tree Creek. As a
Condition of Approval of the tentative map, the Escalon Fire
Protection District requires that the bridge be engineered to a
40, 000 lb vehicle load. Also as a Condition of Approval of the
tentative map, the Department of Public Works requires a crossing
over Lone Tree Creek which is acceptable to the Escalon Fire
Protection District and approved by the San Joaquin County Flood
Control District. The applicant is not appealing the conditions of
the Department of Public Works or of the Escalon Fire Protection
District.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS:
An Initial Study was prepared for this project on September 10,
1990, and no significant environmental impacts were identified . On
the basis of that review, a Negative Declaration was prepared.
-10-
