PC: 2-7-91
MS-91-20
4 (c) Relocate four structures on Chappel Pipeline to O. I .D.
standards.
4 (d) Install a new private distribution pipeline for property now
irrigated from valves located on top of the Chappel Pipeline,
pursuant to current O. I . D. policy.
APPEAL STATEMENT:
In his appeal , Mr. Pringle made the following statement:
"It is unreasonable to ask a property owner to relocate pipes
that in no way affect the road. Nothing we do will infringe
upon O. I . D. "
RESPONSE TO APPEAL STATEMENT:
The Chappel Pipeline lies within the 5-foot wide strip offered for
dedication (see illustration) . The Oakdale Irrigation District has
indicated that the existing pipe is cast-in-place and is not
designed to support traffic on or near it. Four structures which
exist on the pipeline must be moved when the pipeline is moved.
The District has indicated that the District Board no longer allows
multiple gates to be installed on District facilities in lieu of
private distribution works. Therefore, when the pipeline is
relocated, the multiple gate system must be replaced by a private
distribution system.
OAKDALE IRRIGATION DISTRICT CONDITIONS:
Condition No. 4 (g) requires replacement of the bridge over Lone
Tree Creek. The bridge is located on the private right-of-way
which serves the project site. Condition No. 4 (h) provides for
review of improvement plans by the District.
4 (g) Replace the bridge over Lone Tree Creek with one meeting
O. I .
