Land Use: Describe the current land use(s) of the project site (e.g., agriculture, timber, open space, recreation, etc.). <br />[ ] I. Aesthetics: Discuss the visual impact of the proposed mining operation from adjacent vantage points. <br />[ ] J. Other Information: Include any other information requested by the lead agency to assess the environmental impacts of the <br />proposed operation. <br />ll. DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED MINING OPERATION <br />IN A. Mao of ODerationss: On a map, show details of the proposed mining operation including the following applicable features: <br />property/permit boundaries ore stockpile areas <br />topsoil stockpile areas tailings ponds <br />siltation ponds buildings <br />leach pads pits (slope crest1toe and benches) <br />haul roads waste/overburden dumps processing facilities <br />hazardous materials storage areas other pertinent features <br />[X] B. Production Schedule: Provide a table of estimated annual production of ore/product and overburden/waste. If mining will <br />be phased, specify quantities by phase. The annual estimated quantities should be summed to give the total anticipated <br />production for the life of the mine. <br />[X] C. Mining Plan: A description of how mining will be done, including any or all of the following: <br />[X] 1. Operating Plan: Provide the proposed initiation and termination dates of the mining operation. If seasonal, provide <br />the proposed annual months of operation. <br />2. Topsoil: Describe: <br />[X] a. Stripping and handling techniques. <br />[X] b. Location and volume of proposed soil stockpiles: <br />[X] c. How soil stockpiles will be protected from erasion (e.g., revegetated). <br />3. Overburden/Waste/Ore: Describe: <br />[X] a. The proposed type of mine (open pit, quarry, placer, dredge, etc.). <br />[X] b. The type/size of mining/hauling equipment to be used. <br />[ ] c. The use, handling, and storage of explosives. <br />[ ] d. The proposed method for removing overburden and ore. <br />[X] e. The maximum anticipated depth of the mine. <br />[X] f. The maximum depth of mining, bench width, and maximum slope angles (illustrate with cross sections). <br />[X] g. If mining will be phased, describe each phase and concurrent reclamation. <br />[ ] 4.
