Applicants that have already obtained applicable state and local permits demonstrate a greater level of commitment and likelihood to achieve the project as proposed. Those projects for which no permit applications have been made or pending will receive no points under this category. Up to 10 points will be awarded to those proposals according to the following: Permits obtained 10 points Permits to be issued in the next 60 days 8 points Permits to be issued in the next 120 days 5 points Permits applied for,to be issued in more than 120 days 3 points 6. Renovation or New Construction(up to 15 points) Emphasis is on renovation and upgrade;however,new construction where need exists is encouraged. There may be a mix of these activities. The extent of renovation or retrofitting will determine score: A 100 percent renovation or retrofitting project will receive the maximum points. A project consisting of only new construction will receive at least 5 points. The prospective applicant will identify the extent of renovation/retrofitting versus new construction on the"Project Profile"form. 7. Anticipated partnerships(up to 10 points) Partnership with others such as local government,private sector,or other community based organizations are encouraged. List organizations who will be participating with you in the project;their contact people,addresses, phone numbers and their role in the project will assist reviewers in determining the extent of your partnership efforts. 8. Matching Funds(up to 10 points) While matching funds are required and must be at least 25 percent of the total project cost,those proposals that demonstrate a significant match in excess of the required minimum will be awarded points according to the following: Cash or In-kind Services Match of more than 45 percent 10 points Cash or In-kind Services Match of more than 40 percent 8 points Cash or In-kind Services Match of more than 35 percent 6 points Cash or In-kind Services Match of more than 30 percent 4 points 7/2006 (1 1)
