Septic System Design Page 2
• A filter bed 30 by 45 feet will be provided for each unit. One hundred percent
reserve area will be provided on the site plan.
• Quarterly sampling and system inspection is recommended.
System Design Criteria
• Two MicroSeptec EnviroServer#ENFGI500 will be required to provide a design
sewerage flow of 3000 gallons per day.
• A filter bed size of 2700 square feet was determined by an engineering evaluation
of the soil type and an on site permeability test. Each filter bed will serve one of
the MicroSeptec units. The filter bed size will be 30 by 45 feet.
• Drain from the food preparation area must flow to the grease trap prior to the
sewer treatment units. A dosing point is required in the second chamber of the
grease trap to be equipped with float switches to activate the pump and provide a
high level alarm as an indicator of pump failure.
• All pressurized lines leading to the MicroSeptec treatment units must be a
minimum of 2 inches in diameter. All gravity drain lines must be a minimum of 4
inch diameter. Effluent lines from the MicroSeptec treatment unit to the filter bed
must be 1 and one half inch diameter minimum.
