Secondary Containment Assessment Page A:
Overhead view:
vP4' i VCa /✓ea '✓ I
 -3 111-6 i /g - lir
Cross sectional'(lateral)view:
`N O
M 3 D
Volume calculations:
Tank volume (largest tank): 10,300 gallons.
Containment volume (sum of areas 1, 2& 3) = 14,544 gallons (gross)
Less tank volume= 846 gallons, containment volume= 13,698 gallons (net)
Volume/inch= 13698 gal/24 in= 570.75 gal/in
Excess volume= 13698 - 10300 gals. equivalent to 3398 gal/570.75 gal/in = 6 ins.
24 hr., 25 yr. storm=2.4 to 2.6"for most of San Joaquin Valley.
Therefore, secondary containment volume is adequate.
Design of containment area: Secondary containment is provided by a number of areas
enclosed by poured concrete walls with re-bar. The containment area does not have
cracks or gaps to allow the escape of spilled material. Area 1 (East end) is connected to
area 2 by an open pipe, and area 2 is connected to area 3 (West end)by an open pipe.
Site Security: The entire site is fenced. The gate is locked when company personnel are
not present.
Secondary Containment findings: The secondary containment system is of sufficient
capacity and condition for the containment of releases from the 10,300 gallon wastewater
tank and ancillary equipment.
