GMA <br /> California Tank Lines Inc. <br /> 4bw TANK TRUCK TRANSPORTATION <br /> PHONE(209)466-3554 <br /> POST OFFICE BOX 6245 STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA 95206 FAX (209)466-1855 <br /> Position Descriptions <br /> Wash Rack Technician <br /> Must have mechanical skills necessary to operate process equipment, including <br /> making/breaking hose and pipe connections, operating pumps, valves and control <br /> equipment as required. <br /> Must be able to read, understand and follow written procedures. <br /> Must understand the significance of physical and chemical measurements as defined in <br /> written procedures. <br /> Must be able to prepare and maintain records required by wash procedures. <br /> Must understand and follow guidelines covering use of Personal Protective Equipment <br /> (PPE). <br /> Must understand importance of preventing spills and/or slugs in the effluent discharge <br /> from the pretreatment plant. <br /> Utility <br /> Must have mechanical skills necessary to repair and maintain equipment such as trailers, <br /> containers, change tires, etc. <br /> Must understand and follow guidelines covering use of PPE. <br /> Mechanic <br /> Must have knowledge and mechanical skills necessary to repair and maintain diesel <br /> engines and trucks. <br /> Training <br /> In addition to job related training provided by the Machinists Union and the company <br /> prior to assignment, and to continuing on-the-job training provided by the company,the <br /> following special training is provided to all employees in the above categories. Training <br /> is provided at time of hire and is reinforced at least annually. <br /> • Hazmat/hazardous waste handling, including use of Material Safety Data Sheets <br /> (MSDS)and PPE. <br /> • Emergency procedures, including emergency shut down, spill <br /> prevention/cleanup/reporting, fire alarm and evacuation, notification of <br /> emergency responders. <br /> • Discharge criteria, slug prevention, storm water pollution prevention. <br />
