Facilities who generate more than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month may store waste on site <br />up to 90 days. Immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and <br />submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD. <br />This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br />605 <br />CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br />The following drums were observed with incomplete labeling: <br />-A 55 gallon black steel drum of hazardous waste used oil filters in the maintenance shop with no hazardous <br />property. <br />-A 55 gallon black steel drum of oily solids in the maintenance shop with no hazardous property. <br />-A 5 gallon white plastic bucket of metal fines in the maintenance shop with no hazardous property. <br />-A 5 gallon white plastic bucket of metal fines in the Bays with no hazardous property. <br />All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br />- the words "Hazardous Waste" <br />- name and address of generator <br />- hazardous properties (ignitable, corrosive, reactive, toxic) <br />- physical state (liquid, solid) <br />- composition (contents) <br />- accumulation start date <br />Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required <br />information. <br />This is a repeat violation, Class ll. <br />Overall Inspection Comments: <br />An inspection checklist was provided to the facility operator on the day of inspection. The EHD has written the <br />complete report which replaces the initial checklist. Violation #303 has been added. <br />Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br />documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br />paperwork, within 30 days of receiving the complete inspection report. <br />Wastes generated at this facility: used oil, used antifreeze, metal fines, oily absorbent, paper used oil filters, <br />metal used oil filters, universal waste, oily water, parts washer waste, lead acid batteries, tank cleaning wastes <br />(processed in the treatment unit), wash rack solids <br />Documents reviewed: uniform hazardous waste manifests, consolidated manifesting receipts, non -hazardous <br />waste disposal records, bills of lading for lead acid batteries, bills of lading for used oil filters, waste analytical, <br />training records, inspection logs, contingency plan, tank assessments <br />Documents provided: Return to Compliance Certification form, Schedule of free CUPA classes <br />FA0003680 PRO505946 SCO01 06/13/2017 <br />EHD 22-02 Rev. 09/22/16 Page 6 of 7 Large Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator OIR <br />
