yPage 2 of 3
Greetings Valerie, Do you have everything you need?
As you may be aware, this a very fast-track project.
We were hoping to begin field work Tuesday 9-1-09. One of the sticking
points is that the San Joaquin County Env. Management Department
(SJCEMD) won't issue boring permits until they see an approval letter
from the oversight agency. Typically the work plan does not include a
QAPP and approval of the Workplan would be adequate. Maria won't be
back until 8-31-09 and if we have to wait until then it may slow things
down and potentially have to reschedule. I have been keeping SJCEMD in
the loop and they have already reviewed the Workplan. I think I may be
able to talk them into accepting an email in lieu of the letter. I know
to DTSC the Workplan includes the SAP, SSP, and QAPP, but I know the
county is mainly concerned with the boring and grouting process for
their permitting requirements. I wonder if it would be possible to get
an email identifying the document and indicating approval of the
Workplan.
Please call if you would like to discuss this.
Thanks Gary
Gary D. Gary, please
coordinate with Valerie to ensure she has sufficient information to
provide approval of the QAPP. The PEA workkplan is approved upon
Valerie's approval of the QAPP. I will provide an approval letter to you
next Monday (8/31) . Thank you - Maria
Maria Gillette
Work Phone # (916) 255-3953
Fax # (916) 255-3696
8/26/2009
