(AGE)to submit past-due reports, continue quarterly groundwater monitoring and
reporting to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department, and complete fieldwork for the
advancement of ten soil borings to collect soil gas samples.
I have reviewed the soil analytical data for this site and have compared the soil concentrations to the ESLs. What
I discovered is that a number of the soil concentration results exceed the acceptable limits for ESLs. Even if soil
gas results for soil gas samples to be collected at this site are found to be below the acceptable limits for ESLs
and CHHSLS,you still must address soil concentrations that exceed ESLs. I mention this because you may want
to amend the approved Soil Vapor Survey Work Plan to include additional soil borings for the purpose of
collecting and analyzing soil samples in an effort to address soil concentrations from past sampling that exceed
acceptable ESL limits. These are just my thoughts as I try to speed things along and possibly save Mr. Kupka
some money.
Vicki McCartney, Senior REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
600 East Main Street
Stockton,California 95202
Phone: (209)468-9852
Fax: (209)468-3433
Email: vmccartneyCd_sicehd corn
3/10/2008
