20 March 2001
AGE-NC Project No 98-0533
' Analytical results of ground water samples are summarized on Table 3 The laboratory report(MAI
Lab I D No 67867 through 67870) and chain-of-custody forms are included in Appendix B
5.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
' Based upon data collected from the site, AGE concludes
' a Depth to ground water at the site averaged approximately 70 feet bsg on 17 May 2001
• On 17 May 2001 the ground water elevation at the site averaged approximately 13 18 feet
' below mean sea level and flowed toward the northeast under an average gradient of
0 002 ft/ft
' 0 TPH-ag and toluene were detected in the ground water sample from MW-2 Petroleum
hydrocarbon products were not detected in samples from monitoring wells MW-1 and MW-3
or domestic well DW-1 The concentration of toluene(2 8 µg/1) in the groundwater sample
' from MW-2 falls within California's Maximum Contaminant Level (150 µg/1)
6.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
' AGE recently submitted a work plan to install two additional soil borings to the south and southeast
of monitoring well MW2(Figure 2)to verify the lateral extent of the contamination, the work pian
has been approved by the PHS-EHD and the work is anticipated to occur during the second or third
' quarters of 2001
' 7.0. LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based upon field
measurements and analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluations of the
geologic/hydrogeologic conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation are made from a
limited number of available data points (i a ground water samples) and subsurface conditions may
vary away from these data points No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the
professional recommendations contained in this report
I
Advanced GeoEnvaronmental,inc
