' 4.2 Chemical Analysis and Results - The water samples were analyzed by
Chromalab for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons - Diesel by EPA Test Methods
' 3510/8015. The detection limit for the performed analysis was 50 µg/l (ppb).
Analyses indicated that Diesel concentration, if present, is below the 50 ppb
detection limit. However, the analyses did detect unknown hydrocarbons,
t kerosene and motor oil in the water samples. These results are reported on
the Chromalab Report (File No. 0692018, June 8, 1992, File No. 0692028,
June 10, 1992 and File No. 0692120, dated June 19, 1992) attached under
' Appendix C. Also, these results are summarized in Table 4-1, Chemical
Analysis - Mix Water.
' Table 4-1
Chemical Analysis - Mix Water
' Sample Diesel Unknown Kerosene Motor Oil Detection Limit
I.D. Halliburton's Compupac
(data acquisition system) was operational during the abandonment of Wells MW-3,4 and 6.
' The data logs for these three wells are attached under Appendix D. It should be noted that
the time scale shown on the data logs is for the Central Time Zone.
' Curve 1 on the data logs is the tubing pressure at the jet tip measured in pounds per square
inch (psi). Curve 2 is a plot of grout (slurry) density measured in pounds per gallon (ppg).
' Curve 3 is a plot of the rate at which the grout (slurry) is being pumped in barrels per
minute (bpm). It should be noted that one barrel equals 42 gallons. The scale along the
x-axis ranges from 0 to 6,000 psi for Curve 1, 0 to 18 ppg for Curve 2, and 0-4 bpm for
' Curve 3.
10 NOWN
' &Associates
