k" KLEINFELDER
4 ANALYSIS FOR SOIL SAMPLES
The soil samples selected for chemical analyses will be delivered under
' chain—of—custody to a DOHS certified analytical laboratory. Several
analyses will be conducted to obtain information relevant to SI closure
' and development of an HAR.
Twelve routine samples, four from each boring, will be submitted for
analysis of concentration of selected metals. Either an Atomic Adsorption (,CF,
' (AA) spectrometer, or Inductively Coupled Argon Plasma (ICRP) spectrometer
will be utilized in the analyses. The appropriate method will be used to
obtain detection limits less than or equal to 1 mg/kg (ppm) . The
analytical technique will involve nitric acid digestion except for
chromium VI which will utilize the base extraction procedure specified in
' EPA SW-846. Samples will be analyzed for concentrations of chromium III,
chromium VI, copper, lead, nickel, and zinc.
dy
1
51-87-413 5
