(O/LDC) HAR W04 Plan <br /> The purpose of this meeting, held on 8 July 1987 , was to discuss the <br /> O/LDC hydrogeological assessment report (HAR) work plan, and certain <br /> parts of the closure plan which relate to the HAR, to provide Dallas <br /> Corporation (Dallas) with guidance on what additional work was <br /> necessary to complete an HAR for the O/LDC surface impoundment (SI) . <br /> In attendance were: <br /> John K. Woodling, RWQCB <br /> Greg K. Vaughn, RWQCB <br /> James Harvey, Dallas Corp. <br /> Kent Zenobia, J.H. Kleinfelder (JHK) <br /> Todd Croft, J.H. Kleinfelder <br /> CLOSURE PLAN <br /> Soil samples are to be taken from borings penetrating the entire <br /> vadose zone at one background location and at one location through <br /> the impoundment after the excavation of wastes. The following <br /> parameters were agreed upon for chemical characterization of these <br /> soils: <br /> EC and pH <br /> ICAP Metals scan <br /> As, Hg, and Se by AA <br /> Chloride, Nitrate and Sulfate <br /> TDS on a DI leach of soil (agreed upon in 8 July 1987 phone <br /> conversation) <br /> Moisture Content (Background samples at the elevation of the <br /> pond bottom and the confirmation level) <br /> Soil moisture of the confirmation samples will be determined for <br /> comparison to background. Grain size analysis will not be performed <br /> on vadose zone samples. <br />
