' The ICP-AES analysis performed on the liquid media (filtrate) indicated a
low solubility for nine out of the ten constituents (refer to Table 7-2 and Page
' 2 of the Halliburton Project Report in Appendix Q. The low solubility for
barium would suggest that a portion of barium present is in the form of barite
(barium sulfate). Also, the low solubility for chromium would suggest that the
' highly soluble chromium IV form is not a concern. Only selenium indicated
a high solubility based on the filtrate results. Because the solid medium
contained a low concentration of selenium, it appears that the 77.7 mg/L
(ppm) in the filtrate may be a result of outside sources such as the on-site
water supply.
' Fish bioassay data and other chemical and physical properties data furnished
by Pozzolanic, along with the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for bulk
Pozmix® A are presented under Appendix E.
8.0 SURFACE RESTORATION AND DISPOSAL OF GROUT SPOIL
The pavement surface in the locations of abandoned Wells MW-1,3,4,5 and 6 were restored
by repaving with an asphalt cold-patch mix as shown in Photograph #27, Figure 6. The
' surface around abandoned Monitoring Well MW-2 was backfilled with clean site excavation
because this well was located within a landscape area.
The pavement and excavation materials removed from the locations MW-1, 3, 4, 5 and 6
along with grout spoils were hauled off site and disposed as re-cycled construction debris
at the Cal Waste Facility in Lodi, California.
9.0 LIMITATIONS
The abandonment of the six groundwater monitoring wells at 1200 East Victor Road in
' Lodi, California was completed in general accordance with the BSK Work Plan approved
and permitted by SJPHS on May 28, 1992..
The data reported herein is intended for the exclusive information of Overhead Door
Corporations, SJPHS and RWQCB. Accordingly, any other user of this report agrees that
BSK, its subsidiary, and subcontractors shall not be liable for any loss or damage regardless
' of cause resulting from the use of the data reported herein.
Our services are based on sound well abandonment practices of the industry and for the
local area of practice. No other warranty, expressed or implied is made.
17
&Associates
