The analytical results
are summarized for organics on Table 4, and for metals and major
_ ions on Table 5. The analytical results from Agricultural and
Priority Pollutants Laboratory, Inc. (APPL) are in Appendix "B".
B. Quality Assurance
Quality assurance procedures were incorporated into drilling,
sampling, and analytical activities during this investigation.
r
During drilling and well construction , the drill augers, soil
sampling equipment, and well casings were steam cleaned prior to
use or installation in each boring. No glues or solvents were
used in well construction. Only washed, graded sand was used in
the sand pack. A bentonite seal was placed above the sand pack.
Well annulus above the bentonite seal was filled with a cement
grout to protect against surface infiltration.
Before developing and sampling each well, the equipment exterior
surfaces were steam cleaned and hot water pumped through all
pumps and tubing. During development the wells were pumped to
minimize silt in the wells. Before sampling the wells were
purged so the sample would be representative of the formation
water. The samples were collected only after the field
ER7
