Box 10
Acampo, CA 95220
RESPONSE TO REQUEST FOR CASE CLOSURE, GOLDEN EAGLE AVIATION /
LODI AIRPORT, 23987 HIGHWAY 99, ACAMPO, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, LUST
CASE #391083
Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (Central Valley Water Board) staff
reviewed the Closure Summary Report dated January 2020, received 9 January 2020,
submitted by Stephen G. Muir Consulting Geologist and Geophysicist (Muir) for the
Golden Eagle Aviation / Lodi Airport petroleum underground storage release case at
23987 N. Highway 99 in Acampo (Site). In this report, Muir concludes that Site
conditions meet all of the General and Media-Specific criteria established in the State
Water Resources Control Board's Low Threat Underground Storage Tank Case Closure
Policy(LTCP), and recommends the case for closure.
Central Valley Water Board staff concurs with Muir's recommendation for closure.
However, prior to attaining Site closure and in accordance with the LTCP, a mandated
public comment period needs to be completed, by distributing a Public Notice Fact
Sheet. The Fact Sheet should include the following information related to the Site
project:
• Site name, location, and case information.
• The dates of the public comment period (65 days).
• A brief case summary.
• A brief description of why the Site is a candidate for closure.
• A statement of the time to reach background concentrations.
• Contact information for those wishing to receive more information related to the
case.
• A figure depicting the current maximum extent of hydrocarbon impact to
groundwater.
KART E.
