Waste Minimization
Hazardous waste treated by the company in the Conditionally Authorized (CA) facility at
3105 S. Eldorado Street, is generated in the company's truck/trailer wash rack. It is the
rinse/wash water from the inside of trailers, which are washed between loads to avoid
contamination of the products being transported. To minimize production of this waste
water, the company would have to stop this activity, which would curtail or stop entirely
the company's business of transporting liquid bulk chemicals. Thus, the company is not
subject to SB 14. A copy of the company's certification to this effect in 2001 is attached.
This was acceptable to the DTSC who have not required annual certifications. Similar
acceptance is requested from the EHD for this requirement of CA HSC 25202.9.
I certify that the method of treatment, storage or disposal is that practicable method
currently available to the company which minimizes the present and future threat to
human health and the environment.
3
-
Jack Bishop 2 6 2011
RA1V jO,,
Nk
I n r1r»
Date
