2. FIRE <br />Notify co-workers to evacuate to a safe area if necessary <br />Shut-off the power to the diesel pumps if the fire is in this area <br />Call the Fire Department (911) unless the fire is small and you are sure that you <br />can extinguish it with the fire extinguishers available. <br />Prepare a report of the fire for supervision and regulatory agencies as required. <br />3. EVACUATION <br />If evacuation is necessary, direct employees to move to a safe, upwind location. <br />Normally this will be on the Northwest corner of the terminal located on the <br />corner of Ivy & S. El Dorado Streets. Make sure that all personnel have been <br />accounted for, that emergency assistance has been requested, if appropriate, and <br />that corrective measures are being taken to eliminate the emergency (shut off or <br />cap leaks, extinguish fires, etc.) <br />4. CONTACT WITH OUTSIDERS <br />Cooperate fully with police and fire department personnel. Answer their <br />questions regarding the nature and extent of the emergency, potential effects of <br />materials, etc. as required for them to ensure their own safety and that of people <br />outside the plant. <br />Refer inquiries from news media and others to management. Explain that <br />company policy if for management to convey factual information to the media <br />following proper assessment of the situation. <br />
