SACRAMENTO <br /> 3.3 Storing and Disposal of Wastes <br /> �I <br /> Drill cuttings collected during the soil coring operation will be stored inv:;DQT- <br /> approved containers in a secure area at the site. The contents of the containers and the <br /> dates of collection will be clearly marked on appropriate labels. All equipment, <br /> decontamination materials, and disposable personal protective gear will also be placed in <br /> appropriate containers. When the hazardous characteristics of the materials have been <br /> determined, they will be disposed of using proper procedures. <br /> 3.4 Coring Abandonment <br /> Each of the corings will be backfilled using Portland Type I-II cement containing <br /> up to five percent prehydrated bentonite. The cement will be placed in the boring using <br /> a tremie-type tool. Each of the two-inch corings will,:be marked with a traffic cone until <br /> the cement has set. Where necessary, a concrete or asphalt plug will be placed at the <br /> surface of the coring. <br /> 7 <br />
