Jackson,R.E.H.S <br /> Subject: Tiered permitting(PBR) and Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection <br /> Dear Mr. Jackson, <br /> On October 19, 2004, you and Mr.Leo Valdez, Hazardous Substances Scientist called upon <br /> Sumiden Wire Products Corporation and performed an inspection that included"Hazardous <br /> Waste Generator Inspection"and "Permit-by-Rule Inspection". I offer the following <br /> response to both Inspections in this report. <br /> Notice to Comply: Hazardous Waste Generator Program <br /> #20 "The hazardous waste storage area had a 55 gallon dnun filled with partially filled <br /> paint spray cans. The drum did not have a hazardous waste label. Label all hazardous waste <br /> in accordance to title 22 CCR Section 66262.34. Start this practice immediately. Send a <br /> photo of this correction to this department by 11/]9/04" <br /> Drum was labeled on 10/19/04 and Photo's sent via e-mail to jjacksongsjcehd.com on <br /> 10/27/04. <br /> #49 "This site had some of the required training requirements,however the training <br /> documents did not meet the minimum training requirements as stated by title 22 (CCR) see <br /> 66265.16. Meet these training requirements by 11/19/04. Provide evidence and documents <br /> to SIC EHD by 11/19/04. <br /> Training was conducted on site by Chemical Data Management Systems, Compliance <br /> Division on November 11, 2004. Attachment(1)is certification certificate and Attachment <br /> (2) is signed Record of Training <br /> 478 "Unable to see training documentation supporting Universal Waste Training to <br /> employees. Provide documentation to this department by 11/19/04. <br /> Training was conducted for all employees on 10/27/04.
