This faciity has two 55 gallon poly drums for hazardous waste <br /> coolant. Andrew Roa, Manager confirmed that the containers are inspected monthly and if they have time, every other <br /> week. Hazardous waste container storage and transfer areas shall be inspected weekly for leaking containers and for <br /> deterioration of containers and the containment system caused by corrosion and other factors. Immediately begin <br /> conducting the necessary weekly inspections for all hazardous waste containers at this facility. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 506 CCR 66265.195 Failed to conduct daily inspections of hazardous waste tank system and maintain records onsite. <br /> Inspections of the hazardous waste tank system were not verified by facility documentation. Andrew Roa, Manager <br /> confirmed that he has a daily log for the daily inspections of the hazardous waste oil tank. A copy of the hazardous <br /> waste tank used oil log was not be provided during the inspection. The following items are required to be inspected at <br /> least daily: <br /> 1. overfill/spill control equipment; <br /> 2. aboveground portions of the tank system to detect corrosion or releases of water; <br /> 3. data gathered from monitoring and leak-detection equipment; <br /> 4. outside areas of the tank system including secondary containment to detect erosion or signs of releases of <br /> hazardous waste; <br /> 5. for uncovered tanks, the level of waste in the tank. <br /> Immediately begin required inspections of the hazardous waste tank system, and document the items inspected. <br /> Submit a copy of the inspection log for the next 30 days to the EHD. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class Il. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> On site to conduct a routine hazardous waste inspection. <br /> An inspection report was provided to the facility operator on the day of inspection. The report was amended by <br /> the EHD. The amended report replaces the initial report. <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, within 30 days of receiving the amended inspection report. <br /> Please be aware as of January 1, 2013, all businesses are required to submit all hazardous materials information <br /> online to the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov. Be sure to include <br /> your hazardous waste activity in the Businesses Activities section in CERS in addition to any other relevant <br /> activities and required fields. <br /> Page 5 of 6 <br />
