The soil classified
as Cogna loam in this area was a permeability that is moderate. The percolation rate was 50
min/in. (See Appendix.)
6.0 PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION SECTION
6.1 Site map showing the location, with concise and accurate dimensions of the percolation
test holes on the parcel: See Appendix.
6.2 The minimum number of shallow and deep percolation tests were performed for each
parcel: One shallow percolation test hole was prepared for this application.
6.3 Description of the date, time and protocol used to prepare the test hole, including depth
and dimensions of hole, preparation of hole, and depth of water used to presoak(minimum
12 inches): The shallow test hole was excavated to a depth of 42 inches and 8 inches in diameter
and backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel" in accordance with County Standards. Six inches of water
was added to the hole and the hole was deemed suitable to continue. The shallow test passed the
minimum County requirements.
6.5 The test conformed to SJC Policy EH 02-02 (correct depth,diameter,2" gravel,6"water
refill, correct readings recorded). The percolation test conformed to San Joaquin County Policy
EHD 02-02.
6.6 Complete Percolation Test Form (including readings) was provided with REHS
verification signature.
