The meeting was called by Ms . Lori Gualco,
representative attorney for Guild Dry Cleaners (Guild) .
Additional parties attended including attorneys representing
Lustre-Cal Nameplate Corporation (Lustre-Cal) , Busy Bee Laundry
and Dry Cleaners (Busy Bee) , Mr. Jim Verseput representing Ackel
Trust, and consultants hired by Guild, Busy Bee and Lustre-Cal .
All parties' signatures are shown in the attachment .
SUMMARY
1 . Lustre-Cal will conduct active soil gas sampling in five of
the six areas specified in DTSC' s November 21, 1995 letter.
At this time, soil gas sampling will not be conducted in the
sixth area, along Sacramento Street south of Turner Road.
However, Lustre-Cal will provide a letter to DTSC within a
week to explain why no sampling is planned for Sacramento
Street south of Turner Road.
2 . The objectives of Lustre-Cal' s active soil gas investigation
workplan are to (a) determine the extent of the volatile
organic compounds (VOCs) contamination at the Lustre-Cal
site; and (b) determine the locations of soil vapor
extraction systems . Lustre-Cal will provide DTSC with a
soil gas quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) sampling
plan, a laboratory QA/QC control plan, and the rationale for
the selection of sampling locations . Lustre-Calls
consultant will meet with DTSC' s staff on May 14 , 1996 to
discuss any problems associating with the workplan.
4 . The performance goals provided by DTSC on April 4 , 1996 are
acceptable . Lustre-Cal and Busy Bee' s consultants will
incorporate DTSC' s comments into the technical memorandum
(memo) and submit the final memo to the Settling Public
Agencies within two weeks (May 7, 1996) .
5 . Private Settling Parties are concerned that the City of Lodi
(City) may decide not to conduct any groundwater
remediation. Private Settling Parties will contact the City
within the next week on their intentions .
n
Prnfed on RecxMO Pspsi
