The 1994 URS report and
1996 report prepared by Northeast Research Institute (NERI)
indicate the presence of extremely high levels of
tetrachloroethene (PCE) in soils at and downgradient of
Guild' s sewer discharge point in the alley.
7 . Busv Bee will enter into an agreement with DTSC as soon as
Busy Bee obtains (a) the final soil remediation cost
estimate from the consultant; (b) clarifications from DTSC
on the NERI report; and (c) City' s sewer video survey
results on Busy Bee' s sewer lines . Busy Bee will provide
DTSC with the final SVE workplan in two weeks . A letter
requesting clarification on NERI' s March 1996 report will be
sent to DTSC within a week.
8 .
