This scrubber saturates the material and removes some unwanted
f ines.
Next, the El Jay Screen Model FS-5143-24 (40 hp) separates water
saturated sands from the larger aggregates to be sent to the
crusher (200 gpm water added) . Approximately 25% of the raw feed
material will pass through this crusher.
The Sand Pump (75 hp) pumps the water and sand slurry from the E1
Jay Screen to the upper level. This sand slurry is processed
through Cyclones and Gold Jigs.
The Nordberg Impact Crusher Model 1310 (150 hp) crushes the
coarser-grained aggregates. Following crushing, the material
exiting exhibits 5% Free Moisture.
All material from the crusher passes next to the 5 x 16 ' 2-Deck
Symons Screen (20 hp) (200 gpm water added) . Oversized material is
bypassed and conveyed out and back to the crusher. Water saturated
fines join the sand slurry in the sand sluice. This screen is to be
replaced.
Intermediately sized material from the screen progresses to the Two
Log washers_ (75 hp each) which roll the material (1.200 gpm water
added) and remove additional unwanted fines.
Following log washing, the material then passes through the 5 x 16 ,
2-Deck Screen (20 hp) which further separates coarse from fine
materials (200 gpm water added) . Coarse material is conveyed and
stockpiled as aggregate rock. Fines join the sand slurry in the
sand sluice. This screen is to be replaced.
The finer-grained sands which had passed through the E1 Jay Screen
are pumped to the upper level by the Sand Pump.
This sand then passes to the four Gold Jigs, which extract the
gold.
All sand products from the Gold Jigs, the Screens, and the Log
Washers converge and pass through a Cyclone and 2 Sand Screws (30
hp and 20 hp) (400 gpm water added) to separate any further
unwanted clays and silts.
1. 4 . 2 Proposed New Equipment
As an alternative feed route, the raw feed will be introduced into
a Pioneer Dozer Trap with Feeder Mechanism (15 hp) , then conveyed
(20 hp) to a 6 x 16 ' 3-Deck Wet Screen skid mounted, semi-portable
screen tower structure (30 hp) . This screen will remove 100% of the
free sands, which will be pumped as a sand slurry through the new
"Clean Sand" processing system. The coarse material will pass
through to the existing Feed Hopper. As the new Screen can process
19
CONDOR
