Mr. Gerald Hawley
January 23, 2001
Page 2
The results of this investigation will be submitted in report form. These professional
services will be performed for an estimated cost of$3,500. Two (2)percolation test permits will
be filed by our office at a cost of$87 per issue and is included in the cost. The County normally
requires a report review fee of$435.00 at the time of your submittal that is the responsibility of
the owner.
We obviously cannot anticipate or allow for all possible soil conditions in our estimate.
It is possible that unfavorable soil conditions may be encountered during the percolation testing.
If unforseen site or soil conditions exist, you will be notified immediately to discuss potential
options or changes in our investigation. Should an agency invoke restrictions or limitations on
the availability of the files that we are required to review in order to comply with the specified
scope of work, there may be delays in producing the report. Our reports have been well received
by the County Environmental Health Division.
To proceed with the proposal, please sign and return a copy of this proposal and contract
to our office. We have requested and have received a retainer for$1,500 from you to begin work
on this project. As of this time, we are currently back-logged about two weeks and completion
time is approximately three to four weeks. We are in a position to begin work in about two
weeks upon receiving your signed authorization, standard contract, and retainer.
Sincerely,
NEIL O.
