Exxon has contracted EVAX Technologies, Inc. , of San Jose to <br /> conduct a soil gas surveY siteThat the , e survey will involve <br /> extracting gas samples from the monitoring wells and also from <br /> the soil section. Vapors will be taken from. the unsaturated zone <br /> soil by inserting 1/2--inch steel probes ifi the ground to the <br /> desired depth, and then applying vacuum pressure to remove gas <br /> samples. The vapors will be analyzed to determine the concentra- <br /> tions of petroleum hydrocarbons in the unsaturated subsurface at <br /> the site.
