WASTE DISCHARGE REQUIREMENTS <br /> CITY OF TRACY <br /> WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY _6 <br /> (WET) described in the California Code of Regulations (CCR) , Title <br /> 22, Division 4, Chapter 30: <br /> Concentrations in Sludge/Soil Mixture Not to be Exceeded <br /> Metal Limitation (ma/1 ) <br /> Cadmium 0.1 <br /> Copper 20.0 <br /> Lead 0.5 <br /> Nickel 0.134 <br /> Zinc 200.0 <br /> 7. Sludge shall be landspread and incorporated into the soil within <br /> 48 hours of arrival at the site. <br /> 8. Sludge shall not be applied to slopes exceeding 10 percent. <br /> 9. Sludge shall not be applied to soil with a pH of less than 6.5. <br /> 10. For each field that receives sludge the Discharger shall : <br /> a. Control public access for 12 months after each sludge <br /> application; <br /> b. Prevent grazing by animals whose products are consumed by <br /> humans for one month after sludge application; <br /> C. If the field is used as pasture, prevent grazing by milking <br /> animals for at least 12 months after each sludge <br /> application, and; <br /> d. Prevent planting of unprocessed food chain crops for three <br /> years after sludge application. <br /> 11 . If the applicable management practice or numerical limitation for <br /> pollutants in sewage sludge is promulgated under Section 405(d) of <br /> the CWA after issuance of this permit and is more stringent than <br /> the sludge pollutant limit or management practice specified in <br /> this permit or in the existing federal or state laws or <br /> regulations, this permit shall be promptly modified or revoked and <br /> reissued to conform to the regulations promulgated under Section <br /> 405(d) of the CWA. The Discharger shall comply with the <br /> limitations by not later than the deadline specified in the <br /> applicable regulations, as required in Section 405(d) of the CWA. <br />
