You were directed to submit a work
plan to define the vertical and lateral extent of the petroleum hydrocarbon contamination,
in both soil and groundwater, by January 15, 2001. This office has not received this
work plan.
On January 20, 1998 one underground storage tank was removed from this site under
permit and inspection by PHS/EHD. Soil samples and one grab groundwater sample
were collected for analysis. Laboratory results were positive for total petroleum
hydrocarbons as diesel (TPHd) at quantities of 11 milligrams per kilogram in the soil and
580 micrograms per liter in the water. You are again directed to submit a work plan to
investigate the vertical and lateral extent of the documented contamination. The work
plan is due October 1, 2001.
If you have any questions or comments please call Lori Duncan at (209)468-0337.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
ct L- 40—
Lori
Duncan, Senior REHS Dot Lofstrom, R.
