10/22/03 A soil vapor extraction test was conducted on wells MW-1 and VW-1. See GZA's May 20, 2004 report noted above. 11/05/03 The Groundwater Extraction (GWE) system began operation. The extracted groundwater was treated and discharged to ground surface pursuant to WDR General Order No. R5-2003-0044-12. The system utilized SVE wells VW-1 and VW-2, dual phase extraction well EW-1 (formerly MW-1) and groundwater monitoring wells MW-3 and MW-4 See GZA's Quarterly Monitoring Report July through September 2005 dated November 22, 2005, available on GeoTracker. 03/30/07 The SVE system was shut down this date. At the time of shut down it was drawing exclusively from well MW-4, intermittently in dual-phase mode, to keep emissions below one pound hydrocarbons per day. 10/11/07 Fieldwork began this date on the installation of three groundwater monitoring wells, MW-17B, MW-18C, and MW-19D.
