All connections (shraeder valves)from the vacuum on the piping to the vacuum source must <br /> be turned down. <br /> 10. All tank top openings that are connected to the primary space of the UST must have <br /> secondary containment, audible/visual alarm and be vapor tight or terminate at grade. <br /> 11. Sumps and under dispenser containment must be constructed in a manner to prevent vapors <br /> from entering the backfill. <br /> 12. Any changes shall be submitted to the EHD for approval prior to commencing work. All new <br /> submittals supersede the previous ones. <br /> 13. All secondary containment must be constructed to prevent water intrusion. <br /> 14. All secondary containment for the UST systems must be continuously monitored as required <br /> under the California Health and Safety Code (HSC) 25290.1 <br /> 15. The lake test for the secondary containment testing must be performed above the highest <br /> penetration level. <br /> 16. Overfill prevention shall satisfy CCR 2635(b) pursuant to the permit application. <br /> 17. All metal components in direct contact with the backfill such as flexible connectors, swing <br /> joints, fittings, and pumps shall be protected from corrosion. <br /> 18. A "Certificate of Compliance for Underground Storage Tank Installation Form C" shall be <br /> submitted by the owner or the owners' agent [pursuant to California Code of Regulation (CCR) <br /> 2635(d)] before this install will be considered complete by EHD. <br /> 19. No gasoline, diesel, or other hazardous material or waste can enter the sewer or storm water <br /> system. If it does, it will be considered illegal hazardous waste disposal. <br /> 20. Prior to scheduling a final inspection facility must submit the following: <br /> • An accurate and drawn-to scale-as-built plan. <br /> • A Monitoring and Response Plan. <br /> • Evidence of financial responsibility. <br /> • Best Management Practices for managing fuel spills and wash down water at <br /> this site. <br /> • The owner statement and name/ICC certification information for this facility's <br /> "California UST Systems Operator" (Designated Operator). <br /> 21. Passing Enhanced Leak Detection (ELD) results must be received prior to the fuel being <br /> received. A separate permit must be required for ELD Testing. <br /> 22. Tanks shall be installed utilizing the UST buoyancy calculations provided by Mark T. Chin, <br /> Registered Professional Engineer, No. 2515, in the letter dated July 20, 2009, as these tanks <br /> are subject to floatation. <br /> 23. Propylene glycol will be used as the interstitial fluid (not brine)as noted in your fax dated <br /> 8/7/09. <br /> 24. Contact Muniappa Naidu, REHS at (209) 468-3439 for inspections. See inspection checklist <br /> for all the required inspections. All appointments must be scheduled 48 hours in advance. <br /> 25. This permit expires at the end of the calendar year.
