EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
r
Upgradient Environmental Consultants visited the Valley Motors dealership on March 28 to
measure water depths and collect groundwater samples from the four on-site monitoring wells The
depth to groundwater has risen approximately 1 foot since December, and the static water level is at
an average depth of 30 5 feet below grade Depth measurements indicate that groundwater
continues to flow to the east
After the depth to groundwater was measured, the wells were sampled by lowering a disposable
Teflon&bailer below the static water level 'The samples were poured into 40-m1 vials and
preserved for laboratory analysis Four samples were collected and analyzed for TPH-gasoline,
using EPA method 8015m and for BTEX using EPA method 8020
Hydrocarbon concentrations in one well (VM-2) showed sharp;declines from the previous quarter
Concentrations remained at or below the detection limits in VM-3 and VM-4,but the TPH-g
concentration in VM-1 rose from below the detection limit to 670 parts per billion Overall,
however, there has been a substantial decrease in the concentration of all analytes in both VM-1 and
VM-2 since monitoring began in 1996 -
s
1
1
