Federal Data Base U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
1. National Priority Last (NPL) is the list of the top priority
facilities requiring remediation.
The National Priorities (Superfund) List (NPL) is EPA's
database of uncontrolled or abandoned hazardous waste sites
identified for priority remedial actions under the Superfund
Program. A site to be included on the NPI, must either meet
or surpass a predetermined hazard ranking systems score,
or be chosen as a state's top-priority site, or meet all three
of the following criteria: (1) the US Department of Health
and Human Services issues a health advisory recommending
that people be removed from the site to avoid exposure; (2)
EPA determines that the site represents a significant threat;
and (3) EPA determines that remedial action is more cost-
effective than removal action.
A search of the May 1998 National Priorities List
revealed that no sites listed on this database are
located within a one mile radius of the assessment
property.
2_ CERCLIS Database
Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and
Liability Information System list is a compilation by EPA of
the sites which EPA has investigated or are currently
investigating for a release or threatened release of
hazardous substances pursuant to the Comprehensive
Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act of
1980 (Superfund Act).
A search of the February 1998 CERCLIS Database
revealed no sites of concern within a 1/2 mile radius
of the subject site.
3-7. Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Generators
and Violators
The RCRA data bases searched include: CORRACTS
(sites undergoing corrective action); RCRA-TSD
(facilities which report generation, storage,
transportation, treatment or disposal of hazardous
waste); RCRA-Viols/Enf (RCRA facilities which have
9
