• Instruct customers to move out of the area and restrict <br /> access to the area using delineator poles. <br /> • Place absorbent on the spill to prevent product from <br /> migrating to other areas. <br /> • Sweep up used absorbent and place in hazardous solid <br /> waste drum. Ensure that waste drum is properly labeled and <br /> secure. <br /> • Report spill by phone to Elite Customer Solutions. <br /> • Notify Site Manager. <br /> • Document the release on the Spill Log and place behind the <br /> Spill Log tab in the Orange Binder. <br /> 1.2.2 Major Spills <br /> Major spills are releases that go offsite, into a catch basin or <br /> waterway, or are not manageable by onsite personnel. <br /> • Immediately shut down turbine/dispenser at emergency <br /> shut-off switch or main electrical panel, if necessary. <br /> • Ensure turbine/pump have been shut down. <br /> • Evacuate, if necessary. <br /> • Immediately contact the emergency authorities (call 911). <br /> • Place absorbent on the spill to prevent product from <br /> migrating to other areas, if safe to do so. <br /> • Immediately contact Elite Customer Solutions. <br /> • Immediately contact your Site Manager and CAE <br /> • Document release on the Spill Log and place behind the <br /> Spill Log tab in the Orange Binder. <br /> 1.2.3 A release into the secondary containment <br /> A release into the secondary containment will cause the monitoring <br /> alarm to sound and will cause the fueling system to shutdown. <br /> • Immediately contact Elite Customer Solutions. <br /> • Document alarm on the UST Monitoring Alarm Log. <br /> • If a release is confirmed, document incident on Spill Log and <br /> place behind the Spill Log tab in the Orange Binder. <br /> 1.2.4 Notification of a release into the secondary containment by a <br /> BP contractor <br /> • Immediately contact Elite Customer Solutions. <br /> • Request that the contractor document the incident on the <br /> UST Alarm Log. <br /> September 2007 Page 2 of 5 520— Release Response & Reporting <br />
