Board of Housing Appear aeting
Staff Report — 712 S. Anteros Ave., Stockton
posted on the house as an emergency contact for the property. The Safeguard
representative stated that the house would be secured later in the day.
10/13/16 EHD sent the property owner a letter notifying them that if all violations were not
corrected within 30 days, the case would be heard at the San Joaquin County
Board of Housing Appeals (BONA) meeting. Certified mail was received October
17, 2016.
11/08/16 EHD's check of the Community Development Department's permit database
showed no current issued permits.
VI. Environmental Health Department Recommendations
The Environmental Health Department recommends the Board confirm the findings of the
violations for the posted structure and that the owner be given:
a. Thirty (30) days to obtain all required repair and/or demolition permits from the San
Joaquin County Community Development Department.
b. Forty-five (45) days to begin authorized work on the substandard structure.
c. One hundred twenty (120) days to correct all State Housing Law violations and to final
any required permits from the San Joaquin County Community Development
Department.
If the above time constraint is not met, the Environmental Health Department may proceed
with abatement action without further report to the board as follows:
Institute an appropriate action or proceeding consistent with the case conditions that may
include the vacation, repair, or demolition of all posted structure(s) and appurtenances thereto,
the removal of refuse, debris, solid waste, scrap metal, and hazardous wastes from the
premises, and/or the referral of the case to the San Joaquin County District Attorney's Office
for further enforcement action.
