Shell
plans to perform a subsurface investigation using a GeoProbJ' in response to the May 16, 1995
telephone conversation between Mr. Dan Kirk of Shell and Ms. Mary Meays of the San Joaquin
County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (SJCPHS/EHD). The
investigation was described in Fugro's June 7, 1995 Workplan Addendum. The June 14, 1995
correspondence from the SJCPHS/EHD to Shell requested an additional boring location south of
MW-3. In response, Fugro and Shell propose to add the requested boring to the investigation.
A skimmer is currently installed in well MW-3. However, separate-phase hydrocarbons
have not been observed since April 1993. The next quarterly monitoring and sampling event is
scheduled for August 1995.
We appreciate the interest of the SJCPHS/EHD in the site and trust this correspondence
meets your needs. If you have any questions, please contact us at (916) 782-2110.
Sincerely,
FUGRO WEST, INC.
,6(-•A, -
David L.
