Hazelton Ave.
Stockton CA. 95201 ✓, ✓9
Attn: Elinor Ratliff
Subject: Site Assessment Results Report
Shell
6131Pacific eAvenue
on
Stockton, CA
Enclosed is a copy of the site assessment report for the above
referenced site. Please review and provide comments. On behalf of
Shell Oil Co. , Aegis wishes to make the following
recommendations:
1) An interim-remedial action plan (RAP) should be
prepared and submitted to the county. The RAP will
include design specifications, pilot test
specifications and monitoring plan for a vapor
extraction system. The RAP will also include a
contingency for a ground water extraction system if
gradient control is necessary.
2) Installation of off-site ground water monitoring wells
to define the extent of dissolved petroleum
hydrocarbons in ground water.
3) Monthly ground water elevation and product thickness
measurements.
4) Quarterly ground water sampling. Ground water samples
would be analyzed for petroleum constituents and fecal
and total coliform (quarterly in selected wells) as
specified by San Joaquin County.
5) Documentation of the ambient ground water parameters
should be completed. This would include the analysis of
three samples from selected wells for bicarbonate,
carbonate and hydroxide alkalinity, Ca, chloride, Cu,
fluoride, hardness, Fe, Mg, Mn, pH, K, Na, sulfate,
total dissolved solids, and Zinc.
GEOLOGISTS • ENGINEERS • GROUND WATER SCIENTISTS
