(Golder)is pleased to submit this,workplan for the decommissioning <br />` of allxi tin <br /> e . s g monitoring wells at 1320 West Weber Street in Stockton, California (Figure 1). <br /> The well decommissioning is being conducted as part of the activities associated with <br /> obtaining final closure of the site. <br /> Background <br /> As part of a remedial investigation for a petroleum hydrocarbon release from former <br /> underground storage tanks at the Union Ice Company's facility,thirteen monitoring wells <br /> were installed over a four year period under the direction of URS Corporation and WHY <br /> Environmental Consultants,Inc. (WHF). <br /> k Monitoring wells MW-1S and MW-1D are located upgradient to the site at 1245 West Weber <br /> Avenue. Monitoring wells MW-2 through MW-12 are located at 1320 West Weber Avenue at <br /> the Union Ice Company's facility (Figure 1). <br /> Well construction details are included on the attached boring logs. All monitoring wells, <br /> with the exception of monitoring well MW-4D were constructed using 4-inch.diameter <br /> Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) casings. Monitoring well MW413.was constructed using a 4-inch <br /> PVC inner casing to a total depth of 60 feet and a.12-inch'diameter outer steel conductor <br /> casing to a total depth of.38 feet. This well was screened'between 50 and-60 feet.
