Field observations, such as soil <br /> discoloration and odor will bt used by the site geologist to determine the limits of the <br /> excavation. <br /> Soil sampling will be conducted in accordance to appropriate sampling protocols, and <br /> samples will be sent to a Stat certified 5 iect, and fourTwo ples samplcl r�tt1!blected ill c collectedlch on the l <br /> of the excavation at depths o <br /> floor of the excavation. <br /> The sty,)rage of contaminated soil will be located on site approxim icllin00' stun the <br /> istexcavation. All contaminated soils will be covered by a poly p <br /> remediation. <br /> Every attempt will be made to not destroy both NIW-4S and h4W-4D during the <br /> excavation process. <br /> 4.0 pROPOSED EXTJmCTION WELL <br /> A 4 inch extraction well is proposed for the purpose oi'monitoring groundwater and <br /> extracting floating product from the top of the groundv.ater surface. In addition, it <br /> may be used for groundwater treatment when, and if, it is deemed necessary. This <br /> well will be located approximately 60' from the center of the excavation, in a southeast <br /> (downgradient) direction (See Plate 1). <br />
