i
KLEItVFELDER
I
I L ,
1 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
II
This is a work plan to perform a soil and ground water asisessment investigation for an area
surrounding an excavated 2,000-gallon gasoline tank at 1515 West Weber Street, Stockton,
California. The San Joaquin Local Health District (SJLHD) has requested assessment of
 i
the vertical and horizontal extent of contamination based on the analytical results of soil
samples collected from an open tank excavation at the site. .R
ll L
A soil-gas survey is proposed to assess the possibleresence ;hand location of a plume of {
volatile hydrocarbon contaminants t p 1 1
y ants in the ground water and to guide in the placement of !{
the soil borings and ground water sampling wells.
The collection of soil samples from radial borings is proposed P g p p to assess the presence of
petroleum hydrocarbon contamination in the unsaturated soil, and the installation of
i
monitoring wells is proposed to provide an initial assessment: of the ground water. The
SJLHD requires submittal of a work plan prior to issuing a boring permit for drilling or b
monitoring well installation.
c I If
A copy of this work plan should be sent to the SJLHD and the Regional Water Quality
Control Board for their review and consideration. Once the SJLHD has issued the boring
I ,I
' permit, Kleinfelder will implement the scope of work presented in,this plan.
i h
1  I
_ I
j 181-89-719 1
