CA
Site Code: 1284
Dear Mary-
ERM-West, Inc,has completed additional work at 1515 West Weber Avenue.
The work consisted of the construction and sampling of two new
monitoring wells and resampling of three existing monitoring wells. This
letter contains a report of our findings.
Well ConstruCtion
f.
The two monitoring wells were constructed on April 12, 1991 at the
locations depicted in Figr •Q 1. The wells, labeled MW-4 and NEW-5, were
located hydraulically dowi, gradient of the tank site and within the
boundaries of the former tank location, respectively. The soil borings at
each location were drilled to 30 feet and sampled at 5 foot intervals. A
portion of the sample at each depth interval was preserved for subsequent
laboratory analyses. The remainder of the sampled soils were used for
classification according to the United Soil Classification System(see
enclosed boring logs) and for preliminary field screening by head space
analysis.
After the borings were advanced to a depth of 30 feet, they were completed
as monitoring wells. Well completion information is attached with each of
the boring logs. A copy of the San Joaquin County well permit is also
included.
The two wells were constructed of 2-inch diameter, flush-threaded,
Schedule 40 PVC. Well screen was set at a depth interval of approximately
TP.
An attiliate of The Environmental Resources Management Group wim oftices wonowide arm—
