PRECIPITATION AND Eto DATA FOR STOCKTON, CA
June 0.25 7.80 0.26 --
July 0.23 8.06 0.26 --
August 0.40 7.13 0.23 --
September 0.76 5.40 0.18 --
October 1.39 3.72 0.12 --
November 3.31 1.80 0.06 1.51
December 3.67 0.93 0.03 2.74
TOTALS (in.) 1 18.92 53.4 ------ 8.67
i
This chart illustrates that evapotranspiration far exceeds precipitation, even when using higher rainfall
data that exceeds normal rainfall data by 56%. Only in the months of January, February,November and
December would deep percolation potentially occur. This data illustrates a relatively high potential for
there to be significant evapotranspiration(or bare soil surface evaporation)from the wastewater disposal
leachline trench design that may take advantage of evapotranspiration during the favorable summer
months of any given year.
III. NITRATE LOADING STUDY FINDINGS
A. WASTEWATER FLOW VOLUME PROJECTIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS
Wastewater Flow Volume Projections
Determination of wastewater flow volume projections for this project is difficult due to the existing
and proposed sources. Typically, loading projections for these types of facilities are based on the
maximum anticipated wastewater flows generated by people that occur daily, yearly, or for singular
events. This project has all three of these parameters. Existing sources within the boundaries of the
subject Parcel include; 1) Residential structures,2.) The existing Temple structure, and 3.) The
proposed Heaven Temple structure. The existing and future sources are itemized below:
Residential
There are 16 bedrooms in the four residential structures:
2 people/bedroom x 16 bedrooms x 69 gpd/person x 365 dpy= 805,920 gpy
Existing Temple
The number of plumbing fixtures within the on-site existing Temple Men's/Women's Restrooms
will be used to calculate average dally flows(ADFs)based on a projected maximum fixture usage
of 1 x/hr; 8 hrs/d: Men's: 5 toilets, 4 urinals; Women's: 9 toilets= 18 fixtures x 2 gals/use a.5 gals flush+
0.5 gals hand washing>=36 gals/use x 1 use/hr=36 gals/hr x 8 hr/day=288 gals/day x 365 dpy= 105,120
gpy
Page -6JJ
-
Chesney Consulting
