Used oil filters shall be drained of <br /> free-flowing oil, stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as "drained used oil filters," and marked with an <br /> accumulation start date. Immediately store the drained used oil filters in a closed container and ensure that all used <br /> oil filters are managed in this way. This was corrected on site. <br /> The above referenced drum was found with an accumulation start date 6/13/14. Facilities that generate up to one ton <br /> of used oil filters per year may store the filters up to one year. Facilities that generate one ton or more of used oil <br /> filters may store the filters for up to 180 days. Immediately recycle these filters under a bill of lading and submit a <br /> copy of the bill of lading to the EHD. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by September 11, 2015. <br /> Please be aware as of January 1, 2013, all businesses are required to submit all hazardous materials information <br /> online to the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov. Be sure to include <br /> your hazardous waste activity in the Businesses Activities section in CERS in addition to any other relevant <br /> activities and required fields. <br /> Notes: <br /> Conducted a hazardous waste inspection. Permission granted by Baldo Perez. Assisted facility with creating a <br /> CERS account and provided contact information to hazardous material supervisor, Muni Naidu at 209-468-3439, <br /> for the hazardous material section. Discussed about aerosol cans, training, storage time, management of empty <br /> drums and hazardous waste labeling requirements.
