Interim Results Report for Ozone Sparge Well Installation t <br /> Moore Petroleum Bulls Plant,5491 F Street,Banta,California <br /> Page 4 <br /> December 30, 2003 - An addendum to the workplan was requested in a letter b the SJCEHD to <br /> P q Y <br /> increase the scope of work to further delineate the hydrocarbon plume by installing additional <br /> monitoring wells. Technical data on the ozone system and the spacing of the sparge points was <br /> also requested in the same letter. <br /> January 14, 2004 -Apex submitted two separate workplan documents, one entitled,Addendum to [ <br /> Workplan for Ozone Sparging, and the other entitled, Workplan for a Limited Subsurface Site <br /> I Investigation, in response to the December 30, 2003 SJCEHD letter. The workplan for the <br /> subsurface investigation proposed the installation of five additional groundwater monitoring <br /> wells. <br /> May 12, 2004 - The SJCEHD responded to the aforementioned Addendum to Workplan for <br /> t Ozone SPargin � approving the proposed ozonesparge wells. Additionally, an addendum was t <br /> requested for the subsurface investigation workplan to further define the vertical extent of <br /> contamination and recommended an additional cone penetration testing (CPT) boring and <br /> relocation of the proposed groundwater monitoring well MW-17. The SJCEHD directed that an <br /> be made by June 1, 2004. M <br /> June 2, 2004—Apex submitted a workplan addendum to comply with the changes requested by <br /> SJCEHD in a letter entitled Workplan Addendum for a Limited Subsurface Site Investigation, <br /> September 2004 - Apex installed and tested an SVE system with activated carbon adsorption as <br />! the control device. In addition, Apex installed an ozone generator system for eventual ozone <br /> f sparging. Startup for the SVE system was performed on September 24, 2004 after notifying the <br /> San Joaquin Air Pollution Control District. <br /> November 11, 2004—Apex submitted a Source Test Report documenting the results of the SVE <br /> startup. <br /> CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION <br /> Apex obtained well permits in accordance with SJCEHD for the work described in the workplan <br /> prior to proceeding. Apex also obtained encroachment permits and performance bonds. Traffic <br /> i control was utilized during the installation of the wells. <br /> Air Sparge Point Installations <br /> On December 8-10, 2004, Apex supervised the installation of nine ozone sparge points (OS-2 <br /> through OS-10) on and off the subject site (Figure 2) to augment groundwater remediation.
