This proposal was <br /> developed aft= correspondence with Mr Richard Bywater, using Kieinfeldelr's currant <br /> understanding of the site conditions, and is a preliminary undm ending of B&B Equipment <br /> Company's desires and requirements. <br /> We have pared this proposal based on information usually requested in a workplan by the San <br /> Joaquin County Public Health Services Department Environmental Health Division(PHSIP,HD) <br /> and the State of California Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB)_ Kleinfelder is <br /> committed to providing quality service to our clients,commensurate with their wants,reeds and <br /> desired level of risk. If a portion of this proposal does not meet the needs of B&B Equipment <br /> Company, or if those needs have changed, Xleinfelder will consider appropriate modifications, <br /> suhjmt to the stat adar& of care to which we adhere as professionals. Modifications such as <br /> changes w scope, methodology, scheduling, and contract terms and conditions may result in <br /> changes to the risks assumed by the client, as well as adjustments to our fees, We took forward <br /> to the opportunity to serve you. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> Kleinfelder understands that a former llneJdlesel UST was removed from the site <br /> approximately four years ago. The tank was excavated and removed by Mr_ Byway after it <br /> failed a pressure test. The bottom of the tank was estimated at about six feet below ground <br /> surface.No fuel was noted in the tank during removal and no water was noted.in the excavation. <br /> dc,A-a-4, 1�gi <br /> On April f, 1998 two soil samples were taken, one beneath tvhe= epk t of about S below <br /> ground surface and one from sail stockpiled from the excavation.
