June 22 , 1994
Mr. Mike Infurna
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
P. 0. Box 388
Stockton, CA 95201
Subject: Pipeline Right of Way
Intersection of Byron Highway and Corral Hollow Road
Dear Mr. Infurna:
At your request today, Texaco Trading and Transportation Inc. is
informing you of some of past operations. On or about 1910,
Tidewater oil Company (subsequently purchased by Getty oil Company
which was subsequently purchased by Texaco) commenced operating two
8" pipelines. These lines ceased operating in 1968, and were
removed by 1974 . The pipelines carried for the most part heavy
crude oil to the Bay Area from the San Joaquin Valley, and some
residuum oil was transported from the Bay Area to our pump stations
along the pipeline route. At the site in question, our lines
followed the Southern Pacific Right of Way.
Should you have any questions, please contact me at telephone
number (805) 328-2349.
Yours truly,
Karen L. Lew
Environmental Coordinator
NC6-3 .kl4
='4V;<Gw✓iE A DEALT H
°RnITlStRvICES
