The personal protection for EPA Level D classified <br /> work will be enforced. An EPA Level C contingency will be observed. <br /> Equipment specifications are based on the foregoing hazard assessment. <br /> Respirator: None. Contingency: half-mask with air purifying <br /> cartridges approved by NIOSH for protection against <br /> fumes, dusts, and mists with PEL's not less than <br /> 0.05 mg/cu.m. <br /> Coveralls: Standard Tyvek. Upgrade to Saranex-coated Tyvek if <br /> contact with saturated samples is anticipated. <br /> Gloves: Medium duty nitrile or neoprene outer gloves worn over <br /> disposable PVC or latex surgical gloves. <br /> Boots: Neoprene steel-toed boots. <br /> Hard hat: Bump caps not permissible. <br /> 6.1 Medical Monitoring <br /> All WCC employees assigned to the sampling operations must be active <br /> participants in WCC's Employee Medical Surveillance Program. WCC's <br /> program requires employees assigned to hazardous waste site <br /> investigations to take preassignment, annual, and exit medical <br /> examinations. <br />
